Pressure Sustaining (Retaining) & Relief Valve (PSV)

Pressure_Relief_Sustaining Valve 2

The pressure sustaining valve maintains a constant upstream pressure, regardless of flow rate fluctuations. The valve will remain in the “closed” position if the upstream pressure is below the preset-point and will open once the upstream pressure exceeds the preset-point. It’s hydraulic control valve, diaphragm type, which facilitate inline maintenance.

The standard valve will be activated by the line pressure, operated by its own-medium via a pressure sustaining pilot valve, or by an external hydraulic or pneumatic pressure. The typical application of the valve will be to protect the pumps and other pipeline components

Specifications

Diaphragm-operated control valve with own-medium control for the regulation of pressure and flow rates in pipeline systems without external power supply.

The valve retains a pre-determined inlet pressure. When the upstream pressure is exceeded, the valve opens and permit flow to relieve the excess pressure. The valve is normally closed.

With flange ends on both sides according to EN 1092-2

Separate connection of control circuit and pressure gauges

Designed to reduce cavitation by using slotted cylinder

Body and bonnet of Ductile Iron

Diaphragm of EPDM

Control circuit and pilot valve body of stainless steel or brass

Can be modified to be electrically controlled or pneumatically operated
